BIO
Kay Senior (b. 1958 Leeds) is a British artist working and living in London. Her work moves between drawing, printmaking, and sculpture to discover gestural and expressive forms. She explores how art making can express emotions, reflect states of mind and be a bridge between internal and external worlds. Her background as a theatre designer, followed by her training and experience as an art therapist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist have informed her interest in communicating psychological elements in her work.
She has exhibited at Atkinson’s Gallery, Somerset, Jack House gallery, Portsmouth, and several London Galleries; Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, Camberwell College of Art, Thames-side Studios Gallery, One Paved Court, Art Pavilion, Art Hub Studios Gallery, Woolwich Works, Morley College Gallery, and solo shows at White Box Gallery. Her work is held in national collections at the V&A, Scarborough Museum Deposition and in private collections. She has received a Printmakers Council Graduate Award.
